I am fitting wipers to my tiger after many years without a windscreen, and many with but no wipers.
Only 2 things I needed from tiger. Arm and blade

Not hard to get, of course from tiger not cheap. Now I received 2 wipers and 2 arms. Wipers are 2 big and arms to long, no note about them needing to be altered.

So have they sent me the wrong items for my supercat? Or do tiger sell items at a premium that don't fit that need to be cut and shut to fit?

If the latter how can tiger sell stuff for their kit cars that don't and won't fit until u cut them and make them fit.

Would this be acceptable when you buy stuff from other places . Buy a new car but have to fit the boot and bonnet yourself. Bought a new kettle, the plug won't fit so u need to alter that before using it

welcome to the wacky world of kit cars and associated services.......westfield who make wing stays made from butter or who send the wrong steering column, tiger who send a bonnet that doesnt get close to touching the side panels, mk who took weeks to send a pair of front 'bones'.....move into associated areas and find that some 'engine specialists' don't realise the difference between metric and imperial when it comes to suggesting matching parts for pistons/rods.....
you could always trash the screen and go aero :-)

Don't worry, if you contact them to express your disappointment, the replies you will get are "what do you expect, it's a kit car", "they all fit" or "we've never had a problem" [smile]

When a new kettle or other appliance arrives via some online supplier these days it has a very fancy moulded 3 pin UK plug. What luxury! I can remember a time when not only was a strange continental variation thereon, or even no plug at all and one had to supply it and wire it up yourself. What do you expect? Jam as well as bread; well I can remember a time when …............!

I have Never had a problem with anything From Tiger Racing. I am sure that occasionally mistakes are made but I doubt that Tiger are alone. Even main stream car makers, cock it up now and then. I have owned Ford, BMW, Volvo, VW and many more and experience with all of them has been disappointing. Don't even ask about Renault and Peugeot!!

There are plenty of kit car makers out there. If you don't like Tiger, Buy elsewhere.

From memory the wiper blades used on the Tiger's are off a old style mini and you get them as supplied from the manufacturer and have to trim them to length.

The wiper blades end up being about 6" long.

Personally I wouldnt bother with a full screen as you will get a lot of wind buffet in the car cockpit. The rain will also be taken around the windscreen and you will end up with as much water on the inside as the outside.

For the MOT you need to make sure the heater is working and the fan is blowing to demist it.

If you are a taller person the top rail of the windscreen is always in your line of sight.

Go for a aero screen and a good pair of sun glasses......

You can then enjoy the view as you drive along.

I have built and run 2 Cats, 1 with a screen and 1 without. Both have there own merits for me.
With the non screen 1 I only went on short runs with glasses but also a crash helmet for longer runs. Just recently had a massive object hit my screen on my tin top which would have done real damage if been screen less.
I now only have my original 1 with a screen but have made my own doors that are long and keep the wind out.
Every one will have their own opinions and likes.

I assume you built your own car? And you're complaining about having to trim some wiper blades? Seriously?!

If it makes you feel better, I've just bought mine from GBS and they also have to be trimmed.
