The weather looks dry this weekend. If this turns out to be the case I’m planning to get out and do a bit of a loop of West Berkshire roughly following this route:

If anyone fancies meeting up let me know. Might fun to have some company!

You'll be right on my doorstep... Not sure if I'm around this weekend though.

One of my favourites starts like that but comes down the other road back from Wantage (A338) and on to Hungerford or Burbage depending how long I want to be out.

That bit of the A4 he comes back on is really dull. There are plenty more interesting ways back (including the M4 [frown]). Strongly recommend a detour to cross under the M4 at 51.453955, -1.377418, approaching slow, in second gear. If you're anything like me you'll turn round and do it a few times [biggrin].

It's was incredibly greasy round here before all the rain, and now it's had a wash but not finished draining yet, so watch out for tons of standing water and some slidy bits!

Give me a shout if you ever fancy getting together.  I'm based in Reading at the University.

I'm a bit limited for time hence the A4 back.  I'm still bedding a new set of brake discs and pads in so the stop start won't do me any harm either.

Definitely should catch up, but I'm not that excited any more about getting out in January. It's different when you have a new toy, I know...

Have you made contact with the chiltern7s lot? Normally some of them up for a blat if there's a hint of sun in the sky.

It's not that the A4 will be stop start; quite the opposite. You'll want cruise control and a good book.

That route is a stone's throw from me as well. Unfortunately car is still hibernation mode and is getting some upgrades done. Hopefully will be back on the road soon for some good blats.

I’m just too impatient to wait until the weather is more sensible! I bought the car in August and, other than the trip home (which was mainly M25 and M4), I haven’t done anything else other than shakedown runs around the same little loop near me.

If you guys do want to meet up anytime for a drive let me know. It’d be great to meet up with some other Tiger owners :)

Had a laugh!  We got totally lost and ended up going through a pretty deep puddle!  My wife lost her hat too at one roundabout!  Goodness knows which roads we went on but I arrived back home with a smile (and a very cold face!).

Just in case you want to see the splash... we almost had a bow wave!

Turn the noise off... I haven't sorted that bit out yet.  The camera is on the roll hoop and is picking up all the road noise and fuel pump (not to mention the wind!).

I like the aeroscreen, it pushes most stuff up and over.  It does create quite a strong suction.  My wife lost her cap on the trip (it was a base ball cap though).

I also embarrassed my myself by losing the back end at 15 mph whilst on the Uni campus 2 mins from home.  Recovered it but rolled into a flower bed to make sure that I didn't hit anything firm.  I think I need some time on the track to understand where the limits are.  The road was cold and greasy as were the tyres.  The Estates team won't be happy with me 😉

A couple of other videos.  My wife losing her hat when the chap on the inside was encouraging me to pull away quickly:

A bit of a longer one around the country lanes were nothing much happens:
