Hello for all on this forum.
end of 2010 i bought a Tigercat XL
Then just under the name of South Way Sportcars, Yes the white one numbered 001
Nearly finisched in 2014 specs then
New Ford Duratec 2ltr
BGH T9 E2 gearbox and Ford ABA391 diff

But on this fun comes an end the dutch goverment want to have €9324 enviroment tax to get it on the road.

So wat will i do 1: ditch the project  2: build and sell it for race 3: start all over on a diesel project.
I did option 3, selled the Duratec and start looking for a good diesel.
Read a lot of articels and com to the conclusion that the VAG 1,9 TDI wil be do the job for me.
The best one's are the PD150 ARL type engines.lot of HP and torque.
Found a VW  and take out the complete engine.
And now we have to look for parts to go RWD.
Found in the UK the bellhouse(RWD motorsport) but they don't now or it will fit the TDI
I tell you it fits no problem at all.
Take a Ford T5 gearbox and a Ford 3.14 diff.
Dash gauses from Digital Speedos
Take a bigger intercooler and the turbo from a MB 300TD
Take out the compleet fuel system and replace all the parts for diesel
At this moment a'm ready under the hood and the engine is running just fine.
Look at YOUTUBE find Tiger 7even kitcar
This is only starting the engine for the first time, build on now the intercooling and runs great.
Keep you post it

Often wondered about using a modern diesel in a seven!

Interesting project. Hope it goes well.

I believe the issue you have is the reason Southways stopped producing the Cat.

Move to England everyone else is ;-)

This week the Tigris has left the garage for the wheel allignment, brake and the balance of the 4 corners.
So take out the car for the first time on the tarmac the allignment of the wheels not done yet,
i have to drive abaout 500mtr,  this is great what a power in first drive hitting 48km/h and in second wel over 65.
still plenty on gas there. lot of people came for a look so 20 man looking and having fun that some one build this.
Next week the car will be returned and then we try for some more KM to drive, still have to program the speedometer.

Tigris is now on the last track of complitian.
rebuilding the hood is the biggest issue need a scoop for the intercooler and engine bay.
Never work with GRP looking a lot of movies ont the YouTube channel.
The track is alligned(KPI)
The brakes from Wilwood work spot on same results left and right
Ánd a difference between front and rear about 40% less on the rear.
Only handbrake left rear needs a little adjustment.
Ballanced all the four rims and tyres and the one's with the less weight goes to the front.
While it wase on the bridge make a little list from some minor things where a'm not happy with.
So after the rebuild of the hood it hase to go to the paint shop(i still don't now the colour i want)
And then go to de channels for the registration (IVA)

Regards Martin
