Speedo stopped working I’ve taken cable off back of speedo and driven does this just sound like a broken cable. Also a blue wire I believe earth was just dangling behind and a red wire not connected to anything Cat 1e on a silver top Zetec

If it is the stock (analogue) speedo, the wiring will be for the light inside the speedo housing. The cable would be the first thing to check if the speedo is not working.

Cheers Ian that's what I thought but wasn't aware if there may have been some electrical aspect as well.

Hopefully not to much of a shitty job to change.
