Has anyone removed the two pieces of metal that protrude from rear bar?
Get in the way when loading for long trips?

Hi Jim

My Cat E1 doesn't have these, so I can't see that it would do any harm to remove them. Doesn't look like they serve any purpose on your car, unless someone can correct me on this?

Scott

As per Scott, I ain't got them either and there's no evidence of them ever having been there.

Grind away dear boy!

Michael.

To me they look like they might have been there to mount double roll over hoops, instead of the normal single hoop (so one hoop behind each seat) but I might be wrong. Doesn't look like any reason they need to be there.

I put twin roll bar hoops on my second cat and yes they are for inner mountings of them.
