Any one managed to spray over chrome ? Need to find out how to prep for this. Google not coming up with much.

I have mate. Keyed mine up with some 600 sandpaper ( pressed hard with this so it’s was all scratched), then high build primer then flatted with 600 again, then 2k paint (Acrylic will be ok). Worked really well 👌 (How durable it is remains to be seen!)

To be fair the chrome on mine was a bit rubbish anyway, so keying it up was easy. Might be harder with a nice shiny chrome

Now I have chopped the back end need to finish off my modded rack.
Latest quote for chrome was £140 + vat. bit steep.
Might have a go at the headlamps whilst I have the paint in the gun.

Found some one local will prep it and powder coat for £45. So not worth the hassle of doing it my self with the cost of paint etc.
Once done will put up picks of the finished back end re-vamp.
