Hi all,
Not posted for some time, because I finally accepted that I just wasn't getting/making the time to finish my build, so have outsourced it.

We've come across something that I'm hoping someone will be able to help out with though. The car (SuperCat) has a 2.0 silvertop, and I decided on a Megajolt and ZX6 carbs.

What I'm hoping is that some kind soul will have a map (or 2!) that they'd be willing to share, so we can get that set up, and hopefully get the engine going!

Thanks!

Attached is a safe map for a 2.0 Silver Top Zetec - it is configured for a MAP sensor, so may need adapting for a Throttle Position Sensor, but should be a good place to start.

Please tell me why you chose the Megajolt.

Wow, good question. From what I remember, at the time I got it, it was pretty much the defacto solution for that age of engine running on carbs. Also extremely good value compared to the likes of webcon - about £100 I think at the time, but again, it was so long ago that could be well.

How old is the Megajolt ...
May have problems with trying to load a Map.

I have the Rev 3 model and had no issues with an old laptop with XP and serial cable.
Could read and modify Map no problem.

The old laptop died and was replaced with new HP on Windows 10 with USB connection to the Megajolt.
Can get the Megajolt to respond to the new HP computer.
Have changed the USB cable ... bought 3 now (~£18 each) in the hope of getting access.
Still no joy.

Wish you luck with yours ...

cheers
Jim.

Jim, have you tried one like this US232B which features an FTDI USB to serial adaptor chip?

https://easysync-ltd.com/product/595/es-u-1001-c100.html

We tried many adaptors at work before finding these and have never found anything we can't connect to with these from the oldest 25+ year old network hubs to the latest firewalls and servers. Now we buy nothing else for our engineers. We've never had to replace one due to faults.

Awesome Chris, apart from the capacity difference, that's spot on.

Jim & Paul - Thanks for your replies as well
