Hi all
Currently converting my e1 from
Pinto to Zetec, my current brake master cylinder is too long and doesn’t work with the carbs, does anybody know where the shorter cylinder that people use comes from? What vehicle is it from? I have a picture of the one I need but no idea what it’s from? Thanks for any help

Only started it today, and purchased a complete engine set up from another cat e1 so hopefully a lot of the headaches won’t happen. It’s mounted and bolted to the box so far 👍 desperately need to find out what the master cylinder is from

Is the body of your current master cylinder black metal as opposed to cast? If so it`s probably Sierra. I run the same in my Zetec Cat. I had to alter the angles of a couple of the brake pipes to avoid the carbs. It`s a close fit on mine. People use master cylinders from Escort & Fiesta also. How many lines come off your cylinder, is it 3?

Great, all the best with that then mate. I’ll possibly be picking your brains at some point!
