I need some advice, I am really after a Seven Type car, I have driven a Wide Bodied Caterham round the NC500 and a bit more and loved it, had a K series engine in it.

How is the Tiger compared to a Caterham like the one above.
I am approx 6ft and about 15 stone, will I fit in one ok???

My budget is up to about £5K

Any thoughts or advice on the suitability or cars available?

Also I live in the NE of Scotland but will travel.

Thanks

Calum

Hi Callum,

I'm 5'11 and 17.5 st (on a light day [biggrin]).  I have a SuperSix which I understand is a bit tighter at the sets with a little more room at the pedals.  I fit just fine.  It's snug but I've done 3 hour drives plenty comfortably.  My driver's seat is on runners but I understand that's a relatively straight forward job should it need it (I didn't do that work).

Certainly on the Supersix the driver's side has about an extra inch of width (which I use all of!).

There's a link to my blog in my signature where there's details of the work I've done on my car and some pictures.  There's even a few videos of me driving it.

Good luck with the hunt.  My Tiger is a joy... both to work on and to drive!

Tim

Callum, I have a Tiger Cat XL and live in Airdrie. If you are passing anytime you can get a drive. Cheers Jim . Ps Not for sale but you can look over it to get an idea on what they look like up close.

Good to have another Tiger in Scotland.

You should check out the other 7's mob … Westfields Owners club.

https://forum.wscc.co.uk/forum/forum/67-local-area-meets-events-kit-car-shows/

Look for Clan McWesty posts ….  these are organised runs over Scotland.
There are a number of Westfields in the North of Scotland and we meet up with them on a regular basis.

Good to have more Tigers on the runs ..

cheers
Jim.
