There is no bracket. Mine just fit via a bulkhead fitting to the fibre glass body.

Admittedly mine's an E1 but the front brake pipe transitions at a bulkhead fitting as it goes through the body (aluminium side panel in my case) like neilp's

I made some brackets to fit on the square box chassis just in front of the body sides.

None there from the factory, I didn't like to go through the body.

I've probably got some somewhere!

Hi mellyg, we are in the process of building an Avon at the minute and also dont like the idea of going through bodywork.
Could you post a picture of the bracket you made please?

Cheers

thanks for the replies.

did think it quite looked right, not sure i want the brake pipe supported on the body work. ill just weld a couple of tabs to the chassis.

Hi
I use to have a Cat E1 and can remember the connection being thru the ali at the front but if you dont connect thru the bodywork you will have the issue of a solid pipe or braided flexi potentially rubbing onto the edges of a hole ?
We all build a little different but which is the lesser of two evils ?
