After the report by Trevor on the problem with one of his team in France, I've decided I now need to purchase / locate a fire extinguisher in my Tiger Cat.

To those that have already installed one, could you share some pictures ...

Looking for best location, easy to access, but also not to be stolen when not attended ...

As always looking forward to your feedback.

cheers
Jim.

Hi Jim,

I have 2 stored pressure foam fire extinguishers in the garage that I bought for a car a couple of years ago to do a event with the Guild of Motoring Endurance that I am looking at selling as I have a plumbed system in the race car and a larger dry powder unit that I take along on race days for refueling as required by some clubs.

I fitted one along the edge of the passenger seat in the footwell so the passengers legs went over it.

The other you can fit into the tool tray or behind the drivers seat if there is space so it cant launch it self forward in the event of a whoops.

I am looking for £25 inc postage as they are quite heavy for their size.

See Picture below:

Foam is a good medium car engine fires as it will cool the area as well as providing a protective cover to stop re-ignition.
